These vitamins are organic substances that are only required in a small amount in the body. But it is precisely these tiny amounts that have a major impact on the metabolism and are vital for the Koi. The vast majority of vitamins are extremely sensitive to heat and oxidation from light and the effects of air, such as oxygen and overlay, and are therefore often lost if the koi food is handled incorrectly. We differentiate the vitamins according to fat-soluble and water-soluble. Fat-soluble vitamins are stored in the body when there is an excess, while the water-soluble vitamins must necessarily be available on a daily basis, because the unused part is excreted again.
