Pool pH adjustment
As a measure for an acidic or also basic property of water, the pH value, which has an effect corresponding to the value, applies. The pH value for neutral water is, for example, 7.0 ppm, for acidic water below 7.2 and for basic water above 7.8 ppm. For a whirlpool or swimming pool, the ideal pH is about 7.6. Unfortunately, the pH changes constantly due to different influences, so a regular check is urgently recommended. Basal or even acidic water in a whirlpool or swimming pool can eventually cause health damage, such as mucosal or eye irritation, and even damage the jacuzzi or swimming pool.
Pool Check and adjust the pH value
There are different measuring devices or test strips to check the pH value in the whirlpool or swimming pool. Because of the warm water and the constant water movement, one finds mostly basic water in a jacuzzi or swimming pool. However, basic water leads to increased and undesirable foam formation and lime precipitations, which in turn leads to corrosion on metal parts. In addition, the effect of disinfectants is reduced drastically. Since this is too high a pH value, a so-called pH reducer should be used. If, on the other hand, the pH value is too low, there is acid water in the whirlpool or swimming pool, damage to the surface or the technique of the whirlpool or swimming pool may occur, as well as considerable skin irritation. A pH enhancer should be used accordingly. There are certain water care products to neutralize the pH in free trade. And if you adhere to the specifications of the manufacturer, a relaxing bath nothing stands in the way.
