Pool algae prevention and flocculation
Algae are plant microorganisms that produce undesirable organic substances, which are also a perfect breeding ground for fungi and bacteria. For this reason, algae growth should be prevented. Normal disinfectants alone are usually not enough. Algae can also have an immunity to chlorine, because chlorine can no longer break through the protective cover, in the case of larger algae colonies. Prevention is better than cure. A timely preventive measure disrupts the metabolic processes of the algae. It dies or growth slows down. All algicides have been optimized for years in laboratory and practice for use in swimming pools. They act by the broadband effect against all kinds of algae. The concentration of the algicides is so highly concentrated that a safe protection is already given at low doses.
Pool water flocculation
The sand filter can not filter small particles in the micron area, which leads to a milky turbidity of the water. Due to the flocculation, these particles are clumped together so that they can be grasped again by the filter and removed during the rinse cycle. The disinfecting agent used is additionally supported by the flocculation.
