Swimming pool heat exchanger operating principle
The swimming pool stainless steel heat exchanger is a cross heat exchanger with a lying stainless steel tube coil and is therefore also suitable for high water pressure. The primary-side maximum pressure is 10 bar in the A-B, heating circuit and secondary-side pressure 3.0 bar in the C-D swimming pool circuit.

The swimming pool heat exchanger must be installed above the water level using a loop to prevent water from running empty. When installing under the water level, an idle situation is not possible. It is essential to ensure that the swimming pool heat exchanger is never operated at idle but only with a pool pump.
To prevent corrosion damage, it must be ensured that no metals can be washed into the swimming pool heat exchanger, which can cause corrosion on contact. To prevent external corrosion damage, a stainless steel bracket or alternatively a plastic bracket must be used to attach the swimming pool heat exchanger.
Make sure that no iron-containing dripping water gets onto the heat exchanger because of contact corrosion. If the swimming pool heat exchanger does not deliver any power after commissioning, then the primary side A / B must be well vented again. The temperature difference between A and B must be approx. 10-20 ° C, depending on the pool pump output.
Please note that the use of the swimming pool heat exchanger achieves a pool water quality that must be in the following range in order to avoid damage to the heat exchanger:

- Chloride content: max. 500 mg / l
- pH range: 6.8 - 8.2

Disinfection devices for pool water treatment must always be installed after the heat exchanger, so that when chemicals such as chlorine are used, no gases can penetrate the heat exchanger during downtimes.
