The pH value is a measure of the acidic or alkaline properties of water and has a corresponding effect depending on the value. For example, the pH value for neutral water is 7.0 ppm, for acidic water below 7.2 ppm and for alkaline water above 7.8 ppm. The ideal pH value for a whirlpool or swimming pool is approx. 7.6. Unfortunately, the pH value is constantly changing due to various influences, so regular checks are strongly recommended. Alkaline or even acidic water in a whirlpool or swimming pool can ultimately cause damage to health, such as irritation of the mucous membranes or eyes, and even damage the whirlpool or swimming pool.
Checking and regulating the pool pH value
There are various measuring devices or test strips to check the pH value in the whirlpool or swimming pool.
