Koromo
Koromo - a koi in beautiful "clothes"
The koromo (also known as goromo), which translates appropriately as "clothes", is a special type of koi that differs from other koi carp in its special colour pattern. The basic colour of the koromo is usually white, although the basic colour is sometimes or more rarely a different colour and has black shaded spots all over the body. The colour pattern determines which subspecies the respective koromo belongs to, as there are koromo with yellow, red and black spots. These sub-variants are known as Ai Koromo (red spots with black shading), Budo Koromo (yellow with black shading) and Sumi Koromo (red pattern with transition to black).
Fantastic Koromo from BB Handel
In our BB Handel Koishop you will also find fantastic Koromo specimens, which are characterised above all by their extremely decorative colour pattern. These are male Koromo of different sizes and varieties, but they are all still growing and are therefore still developing in terms of their colour patterns. However, based on the basic colour and also the spots, our Koromo can be classified exactly to the respective subfamily. If you have any questions or would like more information, you are welcome to call us or simply send us an e-mail.
